The brand emphasizes commitment to ethical practices with new partnership
Stella McCartney has long been a staple for Lille gals. With her ability to combine classic silhouettes and form-flattering shapes with exciting prints and colors, Stella's pieces are the perfect juxtaposition between classic and fresh. Since opening her line in 2001, Stella McCartney put an emphasis on ethical values with a commitment to continue exploring innovative ways to become more sustainable. Such commitments are being upheld in the brand's new partnership with ISA Spa. Excerpts from the press release explain the transition in better detail.
"Stella McCartney launches new Spring Summer 2019 Lingerie and Swim Collection in a new licensing partnership with Italian based textile manufacturer ISA Spa. Reflecting the designer's commitment to sustainability, the collection is made of 45% recycled materials, including recycled nylon and ECONYL yarn, and innovative regenerated fibre made from reclaimed fishing nets and other nylon waste."
"ISA Spa is one of the world's leading textile manufacturer for clothing, soft accessories, underwear, beachwear and activewear for the luxury market. The Headquarters are at the Lentate sul Seveso, in the north of Milan, Italy, in a territory that has always been well known for the expert production of textiles. Founded in 1959 from a road of tradition, competence, evolution and passion, ISA Spa is part of the Carisma Group, and with the recent acquisition of Simonetta, a leader company in the childrenswear, ISA Spa is reinforcing its Italian roots. A tradition that today has become an expertise with an important production structure that works every single process: from dyeing, printing, finishing, packaging, and evolving into the leading supplier, manufacturer and distributor for the major luxury brands globally."
